Atlas of the Vascular Plants of Wyoming

The Atlas of the Vascular Flora of Wyoming is a mapping project based upon the effort to capture specimen label data from the collections of the Rocky Mountain Herbarium (RM). Locality data from approximately 198,000 specimens has been georeferenced to about 9000 localities based upon Public Land Survey System (PLSS) township, range, and section. Using the database in conjunction with ArcView 3.0a (a GIS program by ESRI) and Adobe Acrobat 3.0, maps of species distribution have been produced for all taxa currently in the database.
